We were called to a property in Mellieha after water appeared on the ceiling of a common area.
The team checked the affected ceiling and walls with thermal imaging. The pattern suggested that the water was coming from the room above, where the only bathroom was located.
What the inspection found
Further checks around the bathroom showed temperature differences consistent with moisture beneath the tiled area. The external bathroom walls also showed signs of water damage.
The inspection then focused on the bathtub area, where the drain alignment was suspected to be allowing water to seep into the surrounding substrate.
