Inspection route
The visit included the bedroom, ensuite, adjacent corridor and internal service shaft. Thermal imaging helped identify cold patterns that needed closer checking, but the visual condition of the shaft was just as important.
Inside the service shaft, two large ventilation openings were found unsealed. The gullies around the drainpipe were also overflowing, creating a route for water to pass through vulnerable openings and affect the apartment.
